Overview
We started the club to give students at any level a place to learn machine learning step by step, and to build real models instead of just reading about them.
What we teach
- Foundations: Python, regression, classification, decision trees, random forests and ensemble learning
- Deep learning: neural networks, optimizers, hyperparameter tuning, CNNs, RNNs and transfer learning
- Reinforcement learning: Q-learning and deep Q-learning
What I do
- Prepare and teach weekly lessons
- Lead code-alongs where members build models on their own laptops
- Run educational games with prizes and organize in-club competitions
Project OmniBus
Our flagship event is Project OmniBus, an international reinforcement learning competition. Competitors train AI agents to plan efficient school bus routes on real map data.
